Easy and Affordable Fall Décor Ideas from the Dollar Store…

Hello everyone!  Today, I’m going to share some easy and affordable fall décor ideas I came up with using some .99 cent mini pumpkins along with some fall items found at the dollar store.  I also had some vases on hand and a couple of wreaths from other projects.  If you don’t have items like this already, be sure to check your local thrift stores to help you get your base of items started.  These items are usually super cheap and you can reuse them again and again for different looks throughout the year.

So, if you like to have a little fall in your home for the Thanksgiving Holiday, I hope these simple ideas spark your creativity when it comes to adding some fall beauty to your home this year!

For these first two ideas, all you need is a basket and the goodies to go inside. I bought five baby pumpkins from my grocery store for 69 cents each. (TIP: Poke holes in the bottom so the inside dries out and your pumpkins will last longer and mold less). I also bought two bouquets of fall-colored flowers and two packages of loose colored leaves from a dollar bin. Depending on where you live, you can use real leaves (kids love to help select them), but my Southern California palm trees don’t help much!

Next up are three different centerpiece ideas basically using the same items in different configurations.  For any of these, you could certainly also use candles or table runners to add to the look. As you can see, they are super easy to put together and will take you very little time to do, which is a huge plus if you have a houseful of people getting ready to descend on you!  These items were also found in my dollar store, discount stores, and some items that I already had on hand.

Finally, are these two beautiful fall wreaths.  Both constructed with wreath bases that I already have.  I’ve had the same two for years now and simply change out the items on them to match the look I’m going for.  You can find lots of fall leaf and flower bouquets in all the discount stores and dollar stores.  If you use very thin floral wire to hold your items on your wreath, you can easily remove them later to change them out for a new look any time you want!

I hope this blog helps you see that you can have some really lovely fall décor for very little money and time investment.  It’s fun, easy, and is something you can do without the usual pressure that goes along with a lot of our holiday planning.

Now, what will you do next to love where you live?
