Super Easy and Delicious Holiday Treats

Quick! The holidays are coming and your people will demand treats. You do not want to disappoint these hangry people, so in the (saint) nick of time, I’m here to save the holiday with four super easy treat recipes.

Four Delicious, Super Easy Holiday Treat Recipes

1. Hand-Dipped Pretzel Rods

Ingredients: 1 bag large pretzel rods, baking chips (any flavor you like), sprinkles, crushed candy canes, nuts.

The amount of baking chips you need will depend on how many rods you make.

Melt the baking chips using the microwave method of 30-second bursts, stirring between each burst until melted. Dip each pretzel and then immediately roll in toppings of your choice. Set on cooling racks until they are completely set.

2. No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls

Ingredients: 1 C. finely crushed graham crackers, 1 C. creamy peanut butter, 1 C. powdered sugar, 1/4 C. butter, 8 oz chocolate chips

Combine peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and butter into mixing bowl and mix well until smooth. Shape into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Place in fridge to firm up.

Melt chocolate using microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between each burst.

Dip set balls in chocolate and place on cooling rack. Let stand until chocolate is set. You can speed up the setting process by placing on a lined baking sheet and placing in fridge.

3. Holiday Bark

Ingredients: 14 oz dark chocolate, 14 oz milk chocolate, 14 oz white chocolate, peppermint pieces

Break your chocolate into pieces and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in a 110-degree oven. Check after 10 minutes. If not melted, add on another minute or two. Once melted, remove from oven and swirl the melted chocolate together to cover the sheet creating a pretty marbled look. While chocolate is still warm, add your toppings. Place in fridge to set up. Once set, remove from pan and break into pieces.

Extra Add-in Ideas: Mini marshmallows, pecans, walnuts, toffee chips, butterscotch chips

4. Microwave Fudge

Ingredients 18 oz Chocolate Chips, one 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, walnuts, pecans, peppermint pieces (optional)

Put chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl and melt mixture in 30-second bursts, stirring each time. If you want to use add-ins, stir them into the melted mixture quickly. Pour into greased 8 x 8 pan and set in fridge to firm up. Once firm, cut into desired number of pieces.

I love these recipes and hope they make your holiday season brighter. They can come in handy whether unexpected visitors bring you holiday cheer or as last-minute gifts for the sweet lovers in your life. Make sure to make extra so you can share in the joy.
